Zero Tension Mouse - created by Active Release
Technique Founder Dr. Michael Leahy
What is the Zero Tension Mouse by Dr. Michael Leahy?
The Zero Tension Mouse was clinically tested using surface EMG to
find how hard the muscle of the hand, arm and neck were working.
Testing was conducted with both a common mouse and the Zero Tension
Mouse. Individuals performed a simple data entry task with each
device. The results were dramatic!
In 1984, Dr.
Michael Leahy the inventor of the Zero Tension Mouse pioneered
Active Release Techniques which is a soft tissue treatment system
designed to treat repetitive stress and traumatic soft tissue injuries.
He combined priniples of his formal education in aeronautical engineering
with his schooling and experience as a chiropractor to create this
revolutionary treatment. Since then, thousands of health care professionals
have been trained worldwide. Active Release Therapy (ART) is becoming
the most requested form of soft tissue treatment in physical medicine.
The Zero Tension Mouse is the only computer mouse
that relaxes all 8 muscle groups that cause carpal tunnel syndrome
and other overuse injuries!
