K. weightlifting band is an effective aid to those who suffered aches and pains of the lower back by keeping the back warm while providing excellent support. Throw away your old weightlifting belt! The Story Behind the T.K. Waistbands by Tommy Kono:

tk waistband, powerlifting and weightlifting belts!

When I started barbell training in the late 1940's, I used to geet the inner tube of a bicycle tire and slit it down the middle to spread it apart like you would a snake skin for drying purposes. I would wrap this around my waist and use a rope to keep it in place and perform my situps, leg raises and side bends.

In 1964, I came across a rubber sheet that was an ideal material for the waistband. I made the waist bands and started to sell them as "Slim Trim Waist Bands". It was at this time in which I also developed he T.K. Knee Band.

As Velcro was unavailable in those days, I just made a rubber tube of varying sizes so it would accommodate the different waist measurements. You had to squirm into it past your hips to get it on your waist. Pity the female that had very large hips and a comparatively small waist!

Anyway, from the users of the waistband I learned that it helped maintain good posture and gave excellent support to the lower back as well. It was an effective aid to those who suffered aches and pains of the lower back by keeping the back warm while providing excellent support.

The Tommy Kono T.K. Waistband's one size will fit everyone because of the use of Velcro. The quality material is stretchable and because of the thickness its use will give you excellent support and warmth to the area it covers. It will not "gather" or wrinkle and will outlast others when used as instructed. Get rid of your cumbersome leather weightlifting belt and get your T.K. Weightlifting Band today!
