What is a Shoulder Horn? The Shoulder Horn is
a physical training and rehabilitation aid that virtually attacks
the problem that is the root of many shoulder troubles - muscular
imbalance. If you have shoulder problems, a Shoulder Horn is the
answer!
The Shoulder Horn - At first glance, this strangely contoured form
of steel and foam is probably unlike anything you've ever seen or
used. But if you suffer from shoulder pain, this just might be the
exercise tool of your dream!
Why Do you Need a Shoulder Horn? A muscular imbalance
occurs when opposing muscles develop unequal levels of strength.
No where is this more commonly seen than in the shoulder. Why? Because
it's so much easier to develop the shoulder's internal rotators
than it is to develop its external rotators. Bench pressing a weight,
throwing a baseball, and serving a volleyball are just a few of
the many, many activities that further develop our internal rotators
at the expense of our external rotators.
The ShoulderHorn was created to reverse this imbalance. Made of
rigid, high-strength steel tubing, and covered in premium-grade
foam, the ShoulderHorn fits closely and comfortable to your body,
and secures your arms in the optimum position for exercising the
external rotators. A single, simple exercise, performed just twice
per week with the ShoulderHorn and a pair of hand-held weights,
will quickly put you on the road to recovery!
How Does the Shoulder Horn Work?
Two of the most underrated muscles of the body are the infraspinatus
and the teres minor. These small muscles stretch from your shoulder
blade to your upper arm. They work together to externally rotate
your arm, and to stabilize your arm during almost all shoulder movements.
If these two muscles are weak or underdeveloped in comparison to
your other shoulder muscles, a strength imbalance is created that
can severely jeopardize your shoulder's integrity, and lead to chronic
pain and injury.
The ShoulderHorn helps restore your shoulder's natural strength
balance by specifically strengthening and conditioning these two
key muscles.
