Fitness Exercise Resistance Bands for Weightlifting
and Powerlifting
What are Iron Woody Resistance Exercise Bands?
Iron Woody Resistance Exercise Bands offer an edge to weight training,
powerlifting and every fitness routine! Iron Woody resistance exercise
bands have been popularized by hardcore powerlifters and are great
for advanced strength training or for use as an emergency gym you
can take with you anywhere.
Iron Woody Resistance Exercise Bands are not fully
dyed, which makes them last longer than other bands on the market.
They're also less expensive! These resistance bands can be used
in place of cables in certain exercises. Wrap the band around a
pullup bar and grab the two free ends and you can perform band crunches
instead of cable crunches or band tricep pulldowns instead of cable
pulldowns. Wrap the resistance band around your back, around the
bench, under a dumbbell, or even step on it. Once the Iron Woody
Resistance Band is secure you have instant added resistance for
the movement.
Iron Woody's Positive Resistance Exercise Woody Bands™
are used for:
- Speed and agility training
- Jumping
- Plyometrics
- Aerobics
- Stretching
- Flexibility exercises
- General conditioning
- Prehabilitation
- Rehabilitation
In recent years, positive resistance bands have been made popular
by powerlifters. Until recently, quality bands have only been available
at prohibitive prices. Now, you have another source: Iron Woody
Fitness™. Our Woody Bands™ utilize the same high quality
latex, but at a price 20% to 25% less than our competitors. The
Woody exercise resistance bands produce more resistance as it's
stretched. This translates into less resistance during the start
of the movement with increasing resistance as the movement progresses.
The band exerts the most resistance at your strongest biomechanical
point in exercises such as the bench press, dips, flyes, pull-ups,
shoulder presses etc.

Woody resistance exercise bands offer you the advantages of using
weights, but without the downside. With bands, there are no weights
to store or weight-related accidents. Throw them in your gym bag
and you have a portable gym that can go with you anywhere. Or take
them to your local gym to utilize Woody Bands™ with weights.
Woody resistance exercise bands are available in six different
pound resistances. They vary in thickness and width, which determines
their pound resistance. (The greater the stretching distance of
the band while exercising, the greater the resistance load of the
band.) All bands are 40 inches long, seamless latex rubber constructed
in layers to prevent breakage. Woody Bands are sold only in pairs,
and come with a 1-year warranty.
Usage Guidelines:
Below are some very general guidelines for band usage. Trial and
error may be necessary to find the band best suited to your particular
fitness level and usage. Mini and Super-mini Bands (#1 & #2) are
best for general conditioning, rehabilitation, stretching, jumping,
speed training, aerobics, and for lifters as assistance for the
upper body to increase the resistance for bicep and triceps. Either
band is great for beginners and light weightlifters. Both can be
used to safely increase the intensity of a workout without adding
additional weights to a bar. For the stronger lifter, they will
add considerable resistance to bicep and tricep exercises.
Small and Medium Bands (#3 & #4) can be used by
stronger benchers, and with exercises involving the lower body,
calves, quads, hamstring and glutes.
Large and X-Large Bands ( #5 & 6) are usually
used for obtaining maximum resistance with squats, deadlifts, leg
presses and shrugs.
