Exercise, No Matter What Exercise Does a Body
Good!
Exercise, exercise, exercise! Why is everyone
exercising? Exercises such as zumba dancing and Winsor pilates seem
to be the latest rage in exercising today. Pilates is an effective
exercise. Exercises such as Zumba dance videos can make exercising
fun! Exercise videos are all over television and the internet. The
latest exercise fads are always a top seller. Why? Everyone exercises
to lose weight and feel great! Exercises can be done at home, office,
gym and while traveling. Most exercises don't even involve workout
equipment. The most effective exercises are the ones that you will
do!
Exercises can include bicycling, and/or riding
stationary bikes. Exercises can include hiking, mountain climbing
or using the stairmaster. Others prefer exercises such as walking,
jogging, running or using a treadmill. Some prefer exercises like
swimming, skating, skiing, or snowboarding. Exercises such as playing
basketball, volleyball or racquetball are often preferred by people
who like to interact with others.
Other exercises are more specific such as abdominal exercises.
Abdominal exercises specifically target the abdominal muscles for
better posture, and aesthetics. Abdominal exercises such as sit-ups,
pull-ups, and scrunches are very effective exercises to strengthen
the trunk region. Qfac.com has ab mats which are specifically created
for proper angle to intensify the results of all abdominal exercises.
There are exercises for every part of the body. Leg exercises such
as the front and back leg squats are excellent exercises for the
development of the quadriceps, hamstrings and gluteus muscles. Back
squat exercises can be assisted with the use of a mantaray,
which will hold the weighted bar across the trapezius muscles. Front
squat exercises can be assisted with a stingray,
which will also hold the weighted bar across the biceps allowing
for a much more comfortable distribution of weight, without the
bar pinching. Exercises using an exercise
ball are ideal and practical, as any exercise now becomes unstable
exercises. Unstable exercises force all the little muscles to work,
to keep the body balanced. Exercises with an exercise ball can be
done also done at home, gym or office. Exercises with exercise equipment
such as weights will increase muscle mass, especially if heavy weights
are being lifted. It is ideal to lift heavier weights for less reps
if lean muscle mass is desirable. Exercises with lighter weights
at high repetitions will increase endurance. Strength coaches recommend
different exercises for fast and slow twitch muscles. More information
regarding these exercises can be found in Charles Poliquin's Modern
Trends in Strength Training book.
Winning the Arms Race
by Charles Poliquin discusses specific arm exercises for the biceps
and triceps. Exercises for build the arm muscles include such exercises
such as bicep curls, hammer curls, overhead lying tricep extensions,
and preacher curls, just to name a few. Exercises for the shoulders
are exercises such as military shoulder press, overhead press, and
side lateral flies. Chest exercises include bench pressing, flies,
pec decs, incline dumbbell press and many more. There are also many
specific body part exercise machines developed specifically for
each bodypart.
You can exercise at any time of the day. Most people prefer to
do exercise first thing in the morning to boost their energy levels.
Others like to do their exercises after work on the way home from
the office. Exercises are even done sometimes on lunch and coffee
breaks! A few minutes of a couple of exercises will relief stress
and tension at any given time. What type of exercises are right
for you? Choose exercises that will help you obtain your goals,
and add variety to keep things interesting!
