Slow metabolizers may use the Smarty Far Infrared Sauna starting
at a few minutes per day, working up to the maximum of a total of
30. Upon arising or at bedtime are excellent if time permits. Fast
metabolizers should use the Smarty far infrared sauna once or twice
a week. If you choose to use the Far-Infrared Sauna once a day,
evening would be best. If you are ill, the morning is better when
energy levels are higher. Less often is also acceptable if beginning
or to maintain your health. Saunas are safe for most people providing
that they remain no longer than 30 minutes at a time.
Rest lying or sitting for 10 minutes afterwards which allows time
to eliminate dead cells and other debris. Drink mineralized water
before and after the use of the Smarty Far Infared Sauna. Make sure
the bowels move regularly, as sauna therapy will increase elimination.

If you have a chronic condition, use the Smarty Far-Infrared Sauna
with supervision. If you are debilitated or very heat-sensitive,
begin with a shorter time. Those with multiple sclerosis, hyperthyroidism,
hypertension or serious heart conditions should consult a health
professional. If you are very debilitated, begin with once a week.
Work up to daily use as you feel able.
There is no outside pressure exerted on the body, which makes the
Smarty FIR sauna safe for older people.
At the periphery of our circulatory system are very fine capillaries
that are less than .5 microns in diameter. Bathing in a hot spring
or normal bath is not always safe for people who have high blood
pressure, problems with respiratory organs or the brain because
fine capillaries may be compressed due to pressure from the water
on the outside of the body. There is only air in the Smarty FIR
sauna's domes, so the pressure on the body is minimal. The strain
on the heart is also very small when you are lying down, compared
to when you are sitting or standing. Because the Smarty far infrared
sauna's main position for use is lying down, the body and mind are
completely relaxed. Furthermore, far infrared rays from Smarty FIR
sauna can stimulate 48 pressure points that are gathered on the
soles of the feet!
Drink two glasses of mineralized water before entering the sauna.
Add juice or minerals to your water if it is mineral-free. Lyte
CL Solution is the optimal choice in this aspect.
You can use a small towel to wipe off the sweat. Some days you
will sweat more than others. It is not recommended to talk while
in the Far-Infrared Sauna. Watch a calming television program, meditate
or listen to relaxing music.
When finished, take a shower, warm or cool but not hot. Avoid using
soap as it leaves a film and clogs the pores. Wash off the sweat
with a skin brush or loofa by brushing all over, including the face
and hair. It may be somewhat uncomfortable at first, but it will
soon feel wonderful. Brushing enhances the cleansing effect. Shampoo
